For almost four years, I'd seen how first in the old building, then the new one, the VCU School of Business was one of few schools (possibly the only one) not participating in recycling. There were no recycling bins in their hallways, only brim full trash cans. This las year, I had a class with Dr. Walter Griggs, who was Dean of Students at the time. He still is a big fan of these comic strips.

When fall 2008 classes started - surprise - there were recycling bins in the Business wing. I'm guessing they went in with the new fiscal year. All it took was explaining how recycling makes good business sense, that it really does pay. And the message had to get before the right people.
