Carytown still has a charity fund-raiser zombie walk.

The year before, the volunteers of the Carytown Zombie Walk shuffled, staggered and lurched at least as far as the VCU Monroe Park campus. I was sitting in the Commons, studying, when a zombie (Star Wars) storm trooper and a zombie Stephen Hawking passed by, inside the building. My co-workers on the student newspaper had photos in the next edition of zombies in the library, who had whispered "Ssh! Braaainnns."
I found out that the annual walk raises funds for the American Cancer Society. So in 2008, when I saw the student paper would have an edition out right before Halloween, I decided to do what I could to provide some free publicity.
I'm really happy with the way this turned out. I hope people get the tribute to Little Orphan Annie. And there really is a breakfast baked good called a "cat head biscuit," probably for their size.
