I knew I would have to deal with this. In a world where other animals have language, tool use, and all the other aspects of full intelligence, how does a pizza place run by biologically strict carnivores get meat toppings?
I didn't want some animals to be intelligent, and some not. I didn't want any kind of class system. But how would it be decided who becomes food? Accidents? Living wills? The answer is in the next few strips, and through sci-fi technology, they live on.
But pretend you didn't read that, and be scared. Try to be very scared ... for a moment.
