I hear tell that some animal rights activists will throw blood on furs. Real life animals are always looking for a meal, and wouldn't be put off at all. "Wow! Free blood!" I know it's icky, and Dr. Franklin and PETA girl agree. But it is better than dead fur.

And yes, I know that in the arctic, there are people who couldn't survive there without furs. They can't afford nylon parkas with synthetic fill. And they don't work as well.

Vegans want us all to give up eating meat. Does anyone think that billions of chickens, pigs, goats, sheep and cows will be given a cushy retirement? They won't even get euthanasia, because it's more expensive.

The real problem with meat and fur is when the animals are raised in cages, then killed the cheapest way possible, rather than as such a surprise they die with a happy look on their faces, expecting food and warmth.

So support your local family farm, where people live too close to the animals to treat them as things.
