When I was first searching online for useful photo references for cats, I saw a photo of the face of a snarling, hairless cat. It was titled "Giant Hairless Cat Overlord." I thought "This is great! I'm going to create a character based on this!" I want to keep my comics kid-friendly and light-hearted, so I don't want any villains who are really scary, so I've gone with a parody of Lex Luthor.

The other part of his name is based on jazz pioneer Meade Lux Lewis [I need to check that spelling.]. I know most people won't get it, but hopefully they won't care, and it won't bother them (Please let me know if it does bug you. I usually just call him Dr. Luther, or "Uncl'Lux."

The amorphous fox is a genetically-engineered cross between a fox and an amoeba, a furmoeba. With no use of imagination, I'm calling him Red. Sorry about that. At least I didn't have Dr. Luther actually kill and skin a fox. That kind of fur really would be murder. Instead, I wanted a living fur coat that could take any convenient shape. And this one is more fun, because he has a mind of his own.
